Jackson Gonzalez ?" age 43 of Waterbury died unexpectedly on Thursday July 31st at Saint Mary's hospital. Mr. Gonzalez was born November 21st 1964 in Brooklyn NY the son of Rogelio Gonzalez of Puerto Rico and the late Maria Martinez.
Jackson grew up in the Clinton MA area where he attended school before moving to CT in 1984. He worked as a contractor working various jobs building decks, as well as pool patios and general home renovations. He enjoyed drawing, cars, and working. His passions were riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family, children, and friends.
Besides his father he is survived by his two sons Jackson Gonzalez Jr. of Puerto Rico, and Christian Gonzalez, of Waterbury; Four daughters Erika Gonzalez-Duran, of South Lancaster, MA; Denise Gonzalez, Tatiana Gonzalez, and Lizmarie Robles, all of Waterbury. A brother Rogelio Gonzalez, of Waterbury; two sisters Iris Yambo, of Puerto Rico; and Marisol Bonilla, of Georgia. As well as a long time companion of 18 years Betzaida Rivera, of Waterbury and his 2 granddaughters, Amaiyah and Anyleia and many nephews and nieces.
Calling hours for Mr. Gonzalez will be held Monday August 4th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Casey-O'Donnell Family Funeral Home 1581 East main St Waterbury.
