WATERBURY- Jacqueline Patricia (Tish) (Booth) Butler was born April 28, 1943, in Dewitt, VA, and died
unexpectedly on June 3, 2020, in Waterbury.
Jackie was born in Dewitt, VA to the late Ernest Booth and the late Lillian (Hobbs) Booth. She attended Waterbury public schools, worked at Timex until she retired, and a member of Zion Baptist Church. She is the sister of the late Gloria Streeter, Carolyn Costella Booth, and Bertha Booth-Shanes.
Jackie leaves four daughters Alice Marie Booth, Jacqueline Teresa ButlerThomas, Katherine Louise (Butler) Garay (Pennsylvania), and Keisha Tanette Butler all of Waterbury and her bonus daughter Karyn Butler (New Haven). She claimed to have no favorites when it came to her grandchildren but they know who they are Nichole (Joseph) Thomas, Meshaun Thomas, Justine Booth, Ernest Booth, Steven Gez, Quintel Butler, Steven Dunbar Jr., Samantha Mantani, Aza Butler and Zayla Butler. She is also the great grandmother of 10. The family wanted the world to know Jackie loved her Neice Carol (Curtis) Anderson like a daughter and are forever grateful for her.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 11, 2020, at Eastside Memorial "A Casey Family Funeral Home & Tribute Center" 1987 East Main Street, Waterbury, CT 06705. The Family can arrive at 3:30 pm and the service will start at 4:00 p.m. Due to the current to governmental restrictions regarding the pandemic, up to 49 family members will be permitted in the funeral home for the service. Social distancing will be practiced, face masks are required and temperatures will be taken on-site. Guests are asked to remain outside until a member of the funeral home staff invites you in for screening.
In lieu of flowers, the family request you send donations to the Meals on Wheels Program. Donations can be made at Senior Nutrition Services "Meals on Wheels" 232 North Elm Street, Waterbury, CT 06702.
