Treasured her role as “MiMi”
WATERBURY – Jacqueline Juan, age 56, of Watertown, CT, passed away unexpectedly at the Vitas Innovative Care Unit at Saint Mary’s Hospital, on Monday, April 3, 2023, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.
Jacqueline was born May 18, 1966, in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late John and Joanne (Frezza) Barbieri. She was a graduate of Watertown High School, received her associate degree in business administration, and has spent many years working for Marcum LLP as an administrator where she was fortunate to have made countless friends. She enjoyed family vacations spending time at the beach or by the pool and taking trips to various vineyards throughout the state. During her youth, she enjoyed roller skating. Jacqueline’s favorite title was “Mimi”. There was nothing that made her happier than spending time with her granddaughter, Sofia, she always looked forward to being with her. Jacqueline was also an avid dog lover and had many pets over the years. Jacqueline made the world a better place for all of us, and we are truly blessed to have had her in our lives.
Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memory are her children; Richard Juan III and his wife, Felicia, of Brookfield, and Stephanie Juan and her fiancé, Kevin Perkins, of Cheshire, her former husband, Richard Juan Jr., of Waterbury, her stepmother, Janet (Vasilakos) Barbieri, her brother, Joseph Barbieri, of Old Saybrook, and sisters; Janet Hubert, of Woodbury, and Jennifer Rogers, of Oakville. She also leaves her beloved granddaughter, Sofia Juan, and her fur baby, Sassy, as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many friends.
Funeral services for Jacqueline Juan will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Casey-O’Neill Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 742 Main St., Oakville, CT. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Watertown. Relatives and friends may visit the Juan family on Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
