Jacqueline Chaney Laliberte, 67, of Waterbury, Connecticut passed away peacefully Thursday, May 9, 2013 with her loving husband, Roger 'Rene' Laliberte, and her children by her side after a strong and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Waterbury on August 10, 1945, Jackie was the daughter of the late Rachel Stango Chaney and Edmund F. Chaney.
Prior to her illness, Jackie worked at Jonathan's Hair Salon in Watertown for many years. Besides her husband of 20 years, she leaves to cherish her memory her four daughters, Evelyn Marie Leo of Naugatuck, Sandra Leo Nadeau and Kelly Leo Dellano of Waterbury, Alaine Witham Morin and her husband Rob Morin of Prospect, and her son, Gary E. Witham, Jr. of Waterbury; She leaves behind five step-children, Ron Laliberte of Prospect, Mark Laliberte and Steven Laliberte of Waterbury and Dan Laliberte and his wife, Cheryl, of Prospect; She also leaves behind her brother, James Orsillo and his wife Madeline of Prospect, her sister, Sharon Swanson and her husband Brett, of Moretown, VT and four grandchildren, Chelsea Dellano, Jillian Dellano, Carissa Witham and Ashley Morin, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her twin sister, Sandra Marie Gallagher.
The family wishes to thank all of her doctors at the Harold Leever Cancer Center who have cared for her over the past few years along with the staff of VITAS, who provided hospice care for her.

Funeral services for Mrs. Laliberte will be held on Monday, May 13th 2013 at 7:00pm at Eastside Memorial "A Casey Family Funeral Home & Tribute Center" 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd, Waterbury. Rites of committal will be held at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may visit with Jacqueline's family at the funeral home on Monday evening from 4:00 pm until the time of the services.
