AT THE CASEY-O'DONNELL FAMILY FUNERAL HOME Waterbury - Mr. James D. Williams, age 86 of Capitol Ave Waterbury died Sunday at Glendale Health & Rehab in Naugatuck after a lengthy illness. He was the widower of Marilyn (Reihl) Williams who passed away in 2002.
James was born in Waterbury on April 18, 1922, the son of the late James P. and Elizabeth (Whelan) Williams. He was a graduate of St. Mary's Grammar School and Leavenworth High School and was employed as a Tool Designer at Better Formed Metals until his retirement in 1985. Prior to that he worked at Scovill Manufacturing Co as a Draftsman. He was a member of the local chapter of the AARP, an avid Boston Red Sox fan as well as devoted fan of UCONN Womens Basketball. He was a parishioner of SS Peter & Paul Church.
James leaves his daughter, Susan Adomelis and her husband Jack of Bethlehem, two grandchildren Michael and Lisa and his niece Mrs. Rita Bendler. His sister Helen Roberts is deceased
Funeral services for Mr. Williams will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at 10:00am from the Casey-O'Donnell Family Funeral Home, 1581 East Main St Waterbury to SS Peter & Paul Church, 67 Southmayd Rd Waterbury for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 9 ?" 10am.
