James J. J. Murphy

AT THE CASEY-O'DONNELL FAMILY FUNERAL HOME - Waterbury --- Southbury James J. Murphy, age 66, of Southbury Training School, died Friday at Waterbury Hospital after an extended illness.

James was born on June 14, 1943 in Waterbury the son of the late Raymond E and Helen (Pryzbylek) Murphy. He had been a resident at Southbury Training for over 60 years.

James is survived by his brother, Col. Raymond M. Murphy, USMC (ret) of Albany Georgia, his nephew, John M. Murphy of Albany GA and his niece, Maureen M. Murphy of Las Vegas NV.

Funeral services for Mr. Murphy will be held on Monday, November 2, 2009 at 9:30am at the Casey-O'Donnell Family Funeral Home 1581 East Main St Waterbury. Burial will follow the service in New St. Joseph's Cemetery, Waterbury. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday morning from 8:30am until the service at 9:30am.
