THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING AND CARING FOR THE FAMILY OF JAMES McCORMACK
WATERBURY - Attorney James K. McCormack, age 88 of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Tuesday October 26th, 2020 at his home after a brief illness, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family.
Attorney McCormack was born October 3, 1932 in Waterbury, CT, the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Devery) McCormack. James was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, the University of Connecticut and the University of Connecticut Law School. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean War and had practiced law in the City of Waterbury for over 40 years until his retirement. James was a 50 year member of the Waterbury YMCA and was an avid UCONN football and basketball fan. James enjoyed splitting his time between Connecticut and Florida.
James is survived by his children, Colin McCormack and his significant other, Theresa Profita of New Milford, Attorney Matthew McCormack and his wife, Joyce of Waterbury, Alicia (McCormack) Hurley and her husband, Michael of Wilmington MA, Eileen McCormack Cabral and her husband, Tim of Alexandria, VA; Sheila McCormack of Waterbury, and Todd McCormack of Naugatuck. He also leaves his grandchildren, James, Maggie, and Mary McCormack, Nancy and William Hurley and Molly Cabral in addition to many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, John, Hugh, and Thomas McCormack.
