James W. Perry passed away on July 4, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital after a short illness.
James W. Perry was born May 8, 1934 in Elizabeth City, North Carolina to the late James and Minnie (Taylor) Perry. He was affectionately known as "Big Boy". He attended public schools in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. He moved to Waterbury CT where he obtained employment with Plume and Atwood and worked there for 20 years.
James is survived by his wife Juanita Perry, and their three children Desralle Hinton, Kimberly Johnson of Waterbury, CT and Terrance Perry of Apopka, Florida. James also has one son-in-law Kenneth Johnson and one daughter-in-law Wendy Perry.
James is survived by three Grandchildren, Lorne Perry, Chantal Johnson and Jared Johnson and one Granddaughter-in-law Danielle Perry all of Waterbury, CT James is also survived by four Great grandchildren, Lorne Jr., Jordan, Evan and Brea. Three Sisters, Doris Poole of Silver Springs, Maryland, Maxine Moody of Vails Gate, NY, and Portia Riddick of Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Two sisters-in-law Olga Etheridge
and Ashley Webster. Three brothers-in-law Robert Moody, Roland Cartwright and Pat
Cartwright and many nieces, nephews and cousins. James was predeceased by two
brothers-in-law Samuel Poole and John Riddick. James loved food, cars and his family.
He will be sadly missed.
Funeral Services for Mr. Perry will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
