OAKVILLE – James Andrew Wills, age 58, of Oakville, CT, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2023, at the VITAS Innovative Care Unit at Saint Mary’s Hospital, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family.
James was born October 17, 1964, in Waterbury, CT, the son of late Raymond and Dolores (Driscoll) Wills. James was a lifelong Oakville/Watertown resident and was educated in local schools. He spent over 20 years working as an electrician for Connecticut Pool and Spa. He also worked as an independent residential contractor for many friends and people who were in need. He was a talented craftsman and enjoyed woodworking and crafting things. James enjoyed his many projects and loved to craft models. He would often draw out his ideas, make specific woods cuts, and then fabricate his handywork. James loved to watch the History Channel and dreamed of traveling to Egypt. James’ colorful sense of humor and talents made the world a better place for all of us, and we are all blessed and thankful to have had him in our lives.
Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory are his sister, Claire Ventre, and her husband, Nick of OH, his brothers, Raymond Wills, of CT, Gary Wills, of FL, his sister, Brenda Plaag, and her husband Tim of CT, as well as his cousin, Steven Duffany, who was more like a brother to James, as well as many other nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and many friends.
