She is preceded in death by her father and mother Roy and Mildred Lang, her sister Jolene A. Lang - Goodings and her husband Joseph A. John, Jr.. She is survived by her daughter Soraya R.John Potter, grandsons Dr. Darrick M. Potter, Jr and Joseph Anthony John Potter, brother Raphael A. Lang, sister Lorraine A. Lang - Roumo

Jane was born on the beautiful island of St. Thomas, U.S.V.I. She grew up and was educated in New York and returned to the islands where she married, bore her daughter and spent most of her adult life. She worked for more than thirty years for the Virgin Islands Government, retiring in 1993. In 2006, she moved to Connecticut with her daughter and grandson where she enjoyed watching her grandsons grow into manhood, participating in church, being a school volunteer and substitute teacher and finally staying at home until her passing.

Aunts: Tena "Eve" Waters, Shirleen Durant and Alcenta George

Special Cousins: Beryl Mercer, Eric "Larry" Bough, Joyce Llanos, Naomi Monsanto, Gloria Loeberg, Suzette Bough James, Desni Rodriguez Simmiolkjier, and Rasheld Bough

Relatives and friends may visit with Jane's family at the funeral home for a walk-through visitation on Tuesday February 16, 2021 from 5:00p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation service, 1987 East Main St. Waterbury CT 06705. All COVID -19 guidelines will be strictly enforced.
