AT THE CASEY-O'DONNELL FAMILY FUNERAL HOME IN WATERBURY - Bristol - Mrs. Janice M. Goyette, of Dorset Way, Bristol, entered into eternal rest peacefully at home on Thursday evening with her devoted husband by her side. She was the wife of Eugene W. Goyette.
Janice was born in Meriden CT on February 11, 1940, the daughter of the late Joseph and Adeline Banaszewski. She was educated in Meriden Schools, taught dance, and worked for Meriden's Community Action Agency. Janice was a real estate agent in the Farmington Valley with William Raveis Real Estate for many years and was a parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Church, Bristol.
Janice was a devoted wife and mother but cherished most her role as grandmother "Mimi" to her adoring grandchildren. Besides her husband of 21 years, Janice is survived by a daughter, Kirsten (Rasmussen) Bergstrom and her husband Timothy of Burlington, her son, Kirt Rasmussen of Bristol, her daughter Margene Davidson of Watertown, and her grandchildren; James Rasmussen of Bristol, Kathryn, Bradley & Kyle Bergstrom of Burlington and Evan and Kara Davidson of Watertown. She was predeceased by her first husband, James Rasmussen and her brother, Joseph Banaszewski.
Funeral services for Mrs. Goyette will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 with a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at St Gregory the Great Church , 235 Maltby St Bristol CT 06010 at 10:00am. Those planning to attend are asked to go directly to the church. Burial will be held at the convenience of family. There are no calling hours. The Casey-O'Donnell Family Funeral Home 1581 East Main St Waterbury has been entrusted to assist the family with arrangements.
