Jason Haynes ?" age 46 of Wilmington NC formerly of Waterbury died Monday January 7th 2008 after a brief battle with cancer at the lower cape fear hospice center in Wilmington with his family by his side.
Mr. Haynes was born November 1st 1961 in Waterbury CT the son of Rosa (Freeman) Haynes and the late Walter Haynes. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Wilby high school where he played football. He attended the Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston where he studied Mechanical drafting and also attended Kaynor Tech where he was working on his tool making certificate. He enjoyed playing basketball and was a football enthusiast. He was former member of the Zion Baptist Church of Waterbury.
Besides his mother Rosa he is survived by a brother Jeffery Haynes of Hartford, a sister April Hightower, of Waterbury; as well as several aunt's, uncle's, nieces, and nephews.
Services for Mr. Haynes will be held Monday January 14th at 11:00 a.m. at the Casey-O'Donnell Family Funeral Home (1581 East Main St). Calling hours will be held from 10:00a.m. Until the time of the services. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery. Memorial donation in memory of Jason can be made to the Saint Mary's Hospital Development fund 56 Franklin St Waterbury Ct 06704.
