Taken from those he loved, way too soon
WATERBURY - It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that the family of Jayden Gonzalez, age 22 of Waterbury share the news of his unexpected passing, the result of a tragic auto accident on Sunday November 10, 2024. He was the son of Mr. Hipolito Gonzalez and the late Evarista Munoz.
Jayden was born on May 16, 2002 in Waterbury, the son of Hipolito Gonzalez of Waterbury and the late Evarista Munoz. Jayden attended St Francis Xavier School, SS Peter & Paul School and graduated from Sacred Heart High School. He then went on to study at Central CT State University and was going to graduate in June of 2025 with a degree in Psychology. He was a Customer Service Specialist at Target. He was an accomplished athlete, especially in football where he played in both Pop Warner and for all four years of his time at Sacred Heart. He also was an avid fan of the Patriots and the Yankees. What meant the most to Jayden however was his family. As a member of a large family, Jayden cherished each and every moment spent with those he loved, especially his parents, siblings and friends. He had a generous heart and practiced unconditional love. His legacy and love will live on in his family. Jayden was an individual who touched so many with great kindness.
Left to honor his memory, besides his father are his siblings; Amariliz Johnson, Henry, Victor, and Channel Gonzalez, Gewdy Munoz, Brandon Santiago, Manuel Citron, Angelica Cruz, Miguel Torres, Jose Santos and Zoliany Miranda and his Step-Mom, Milagros Gonzalez as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, loving friends and extended family members.
Funeral services for Jayden will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care 1987 East Main St Waterbury CT. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with Jayden’s family on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
