WATERTOWN – Mrs. Jean B. Hart, of Watertown, passed away peacefully at Apple Rehab of Watertown on March 17, 2023 surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. She was the widow of Walter Hart.
Jean was born September 30, 1927 in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late Rufus and Elsie (Wilson) Beach. She attended local schools, then went on to graduate from Post College with an associate’s degree. Jean worked for Lea Manufacturing as a bookkeeper for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, especially romance novels, going out to eat, and loved flowers. Jean was the last surviving member of a group of friends who used to get together to play bridge and enjoying their time together getting lunch. Jean made the world a better place for all of us, and we were all blessed and thankful to have her in our lives.
Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memory are her three sons; Thomas (Marjorie) Hart, Timothy Hart, and Donald (Edith) Hart, her grandson, Jeffrey (Joy) Hart, as well as her brother, Elmer (Gloria) Beach, along with nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her siblings; Barbara Partiss, Mary Bertrand, Roberta Vallerand, and Lois Beach.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hart will be held privately in Evergreen Cemetery, Watertown at the convenience of her family. There are no calling hours.
