Middlebury - Mrs. Jeanne Daigle age 96 of Middlebury formerly of Terryville and Meriden passed away peacefully Monday January 26, 2015 after a extended illness a day before her 97th birthday. She was the widow of Leo Daigle.
Mrs. Daigle was born January 27th 1918 in Daigle Maine the daughter of the late Damase and Edith (Michaud) Lagasse. She spent several years working for CT Tel. in Meriden and retired from Coromatics in Wallingford in 1984 after many years of service. Jeanne enjoyed a modest and uncomplicated life that focused primarily on family. She was generous and kind and friendly to all who knew her and was especially close to her beloved niece Karen who helped care for her for many years. She leaves a void in the lives of her family.
Mrs. Daigle is survived by her niece Karen Lucid and her husband Tim of Southbury, Rebecca Wert of Watertown, Timothy Lucid and his wife Kerry of NY as well as many other nieces and nephews who were all very special to her.
Funeral services for Mrs. Daigle will be held on Friday February 6, 2015 at 10:30am at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Church 74 West Main St where a Mass of Christian burial will be held. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Meriden. There are no calling hours.
