Jeanne C. Thompson

WATERBURY - Mrs. Jeanne C. (Cocchiola) Thompson, age 70 of Wolcott passed away
peacefully surrounded by the love and comfort of her family on Sunday January 17,
2016 at Waterbury Hospital. She was the widow of Warren W. Thompson.

Jeanne was born February 10, 1945 in Waterbury the daughter of the late Thomas and
Lee (Diorio) Cocchiola. She was educated in local schools and a graduate of Wilby High
School. Prior to her retirement, she worked for many years as an Inspector for
Futuristics of Waterbury. Jeanne will forever be remembered for her wonderful smile and
infectious laughter. She enjoyed being with her family, socializing and friends but most of
all she was so very proud to be a loving devoted, mother and grandmother.

Jeanne is survived by her daughter, Morgan Thompson and her fiancé, Gary
Gerstenlauer of Ashford CT, her granddaughter Kelby Lee and her brother Michael
Cocchiola of Waterbury. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. She was
predeceased by her son, Thomas Lee Thompson and her brother, Thomas Cocchiola.

Funeral services for Mrs. Thompson will be held on Tuesday February 9, 2016 when a
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Church, 625 Baldwin St
Waterbury at 9:30 a.m. Those planning to attend are kindly asked to meet directly at the
church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. There are no calling hours.
