PLYMOUTH – It is with overwhelming sadness and profound grief that we announce the unexpected passing of Jeffrey Hunter (“JD”) Descault, age 52, of Plymouth, who died unexpectedly on Saturday, November 4, 2023, after sustaining injuries in a motor vehicle accident.
Jeff was born October 29th, 1971, in Waterbury, CT, the son of Theresa (Fortier) Descault and the late Ernest Descault, Jr. Jeff was employed with ABM Services, where he worked as a maintenance engineer. Prior to working for ABM Services, Jeff was an excavator operator who owned his own construction business and was called upon often by his family and friends due to his ability to fix just about anything of any size. Jeff also was proficient at installing fences after learning the business from working with his father. Jeff was a Harley Davidson enthusiast and loved taking long rides on his bike. He also enjoyed playing billiards, hunting, fishing, and he loved to cook for his family. Jeff had several dogs over his lifetime and most recently enjoyed the companionship of his late German Shepherd, Sirus. The most important thing to Jeff was his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all those who were blessed to know and love him.
Jeff is survived by his two beloved children, James Hunter Descault and Makayla Rose Descault, both of Plymouth, his mother Theresa (Fortier) Descault of Plymouth, brother, John Descault and his wife Sandra of Brooksville, FL, and his sister Debra Hudobenko and her husband Matthew of Prospect, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends which he considered his extended family.
Relatives and friends may join the family in paying their respects to Jeff on Sunday, November 12th, 2023, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home, 1987 E Main St, Waterbury, CT 06705. A “Celebration of Life” will be conducted at the Funeral Home on Monday, November 13th, 2023 @ 12 pm, following an 11 am calling hour. The funeral mass for Jeff will be held on Friday, November 17th, 2023, 11:00 am, at St. Maximillian Kolbe Parish, Thomaston Church, 1 East Main St, Thomaston, CT 06787.
