PROSPECT- Mr. Jeffrey F. Desiderio, age 50 of Prospect passed away unexpectedly at Saint Mary's Hospital after a tragic motorcycle accident on May 20, 2017. He was not only the beloved husband of Susan (Helms) Desiderio, but the love of her life, best friend and soulmate.
Jeff was born August 4, 1966 in Waterbury, CT, the son of Francis and Patricia (Reinhard) Desiderio of Waterbury. He was graduate of Crosby High School and received his Bachelors Degree from Post College. He was employed by Sectra North America since 2006 and was currently working as the Director of Women's Health Care. Jeff had many talents and was a jack of all trades and the master of any hobby or activity he took part in whether it was wood working, carpentry, brewing his own beer, repairing and restoring cars and sailing in Long Island Sound. He was passionate about music and was a talented guitar player and enjoyed performing with his wife and family in several area bands, most notably The Mastertones. He loved to spend time with his friends and family at his beach home in Alabama. He was also a member of the Housatonic Boat Club. He will be remembered for his many gifted talents, how many lives he touched and changed forever and his funny sense of humor.
Besides his parents and his wife, Susan of 23 years, Jeffrey is survived by his three children, Christopher, Daniel, and Nicole, all of Prospect as well as his sister, Carrie Foligno and her husband, Gary of Plantsville in addition to many extended family members and close friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Desiderio will be held on Thursday, June 1st, 2017 at 11:00 AM when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Leo The Great Church Waterbury, CT. Those planning to attend are kindly asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
