THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING AND CARING FOR THE FAMILY OF JEFFREY STIEN
U.S Marine Veteran
SEEKONK MA - Jeffrey Stien age 43 of Seekonk, MA formerly of Waterbury, CT passed away peacefully at home with his wife Melissa (Bellotti) Stien and his beloved dog Karma after an extended and valiant battle with cancer.
Jeff was born on January 17, 1977 in Waterbury, CT, where he spent most of his childhood before moving to Florida. He graduated from Sebastian River High School in Sebastian, Florida, and later earned a Healthcare Administration degree from Rhode Island College in Providence, RI. He proudly served his country with the rank of Lance Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corp, and he was employed by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Providence, RI in the Compensation and Pension Department.
Jeff was a devoted husband who doted on Melissa and his "Baby Girl" Karma, a German Shepard he rescued two years ago. Jeff's favorite places were the golf course and anywhere he could see the Patriots or Yankees play. He loved date nights, swimming in his pool, and watching movie marathons. He was most passionate about supporting other veterans and took pride in his work at the VA. Jeff enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and he cherished all of the moments he spent with his niece Jade and his nephews JJ, Sonny, and Jonah. Jeff bravely fought brain cancer for almost a decade, and he never gave up hope that a cure would be found. He kept a positive outlook and embraced each day. He will be most remembered for his radiant smile, the sparkle in those hazel eyes, and his kind and compassionate spirit that will be missed by all.
Left to cherish his memory and honor his love and legacy, besides his wife of six years are: his mother Justine Tomasiewicz, his brother Jason Stien, his sister-in-law Judy Stien, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins and countless friends. He was predeceased by his father John Stien.
