Loving Wife and Mother
WATERBURY -Jennifer R. Hawkes age 63, of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Saint Mary's Hospital after a brief illness. She was the loving wife of Timothy Hawkes.
Jennifer was born October 15th 1958 in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late Francis and Elizabeth (Toomey) Ryan. She was graduate of Sacred Heart High School and received her degree in chemistry from St Joseph College. Jennifer spent most of her career working as a Medical Technologist, initially for Waterbury Hospital for approximately 30 years and then later at Saint Mary's Hospital and most recently she was employed at Hartford Health Care working as the point of care coordinator for the Central region. Jennifer loved to spend time at her lake home in the Berkshires where she would love to spend time in her garden and hang out by the water with her beloved husband and dogs.
Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memory is her husband, Timothy and her daughter, Amanda Hawkes of Austin Texas.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hawkes will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. at Mary Mother of the Church Parish, Saints Peter and Paul Church, 67 Southmayd Rd Waterbury to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial. All those planning to attend are kindly asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of her family. Friends and relatives may visit with Jennifer's family on Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd, Waterbury, CT 06705. We continue to remain very concerned about the ongoing pandemic, so masks will be required during all indoor services, regardless of your current vaccination status. To honor her memory and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Harold Leever Cancer Center 1075 Chase Parkway Waterbury, CT 06705 would be most appreciated by her family.
