Mr. Jerome Burke

DEVOTED AND LOVING FATHER

WATERBURY - Jerome M. Burke, age 37, of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly on February 29th, 2024, at home. He was the loving father of Amiya Bella Burke.

Jerome was born August 9th 1986, in New Britain, CT, the son of Margarita Pinto and the late Jeffrey Burke. Jerome was raised in Waterbury and was a graduate of Kaynor Technical School, where he studied automotive mechanics and auto body repair. He worked as a laborer for various companies throughout the Waterbury area, most recently with the Feeney Brothers Construction and Connecticut Seal Coating. Jerome enjoyed playing video games, loved to play chess, and was an avid sneaker collector. He always enjoyed helping others in need and was always the life of the party. There was nothing more important to Jerome than his daughter, Amiya, who always came first in Jerome’s eyes, and he loved to spoil her every chance he could and always looked forward to the father-daughter trips to Jump Zone.

Left to honor his memory and cherish his legacy, besides his mother and daughter, are his longtime partner and companion, Jaime Cossette, his brothers, Josh Rodriguez, and Jeffery Burke Jr.; his sister, Crystal Burke all of Waterbury as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members and many friends. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, who was very dear to him, Carmen Pinto.
A Memorial Gathering for Mr. Burke will be held on Friday, March 15th, 2024, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main Street, Waterbury, CT 06705. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of his family.
