WATERBURY - John J. Bedell Jr. age 58 of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, June 16th 2014.
John was born in Waterbury, CT the son of the late John J Sr. and Anne (Guilfoile) Bedell. John was a lifelong Waterbury resident who attended Holy Cross High School. He worked as a driver for Palladin Precision and more recently as the Director of Marketing at Coffee House Construction. He was a diehard New York Yankees fan and an avid golfer and history buff and enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. He was a parishioner of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Church.
Among his survivors are his sisters, Kate Weitzel and her husband Tony of Upland, CA and Mary E. Andrzejewski and her husband Tony of Waterbury with whom John made his home. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, and many close friends and neighbors.
A Memorial Service for John will be held on Friday, June 20, 2014 at 7:00pm at Eastside Memorial, "A Casey Family Funeral Home and Tribute Center", 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd. Waterbury. Burial will be held privately in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Relatives and friends may visit with John's family on Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00pm.
