Mr. John "Jack" Brady

February 12, 1947 — February 24, 2025

WATERBURY, CT – It is with profound sadness that the family of John “Jack” D. Brady announce his peaceful passing on Monday, February 24, 2025 at Complete Care at Glendale surrounded by the love and comfort of his loving family.

John was born on February 12, 1947, in Waterbury, CT the son of the late John P. and Catherine (Sullivan) Brady. He was a lifelong Waterbury resident and graduated from Sacred Heart High School Class of 1965, and then graduated from New Haven University. Prior to his graduation, he previously attended St. Thomas Seminary. John had a undying devotion to his catholic faith. He was the President of the Legion of Mary at SS Peter and Paul Church and he led the rosary at many convalescent homes and many Monday nights in October and May in the convent of SS Peter and Paul. He was a dedicated viewer of EWTN and could always be found praying the Rosary for many causes and prayers of intercession for any and all that asked him. John’s legacy leaves a life of faith, hope, charity, and love! He made sure he left everything better than he found it. His holiday dinner blessings were cherished and will be missed. Sharing a John’s Sausage Apizza or dinner after 4:00 p.m. Mass on Saturday will always bring the fondest memories for his nieces and nephews.

Left to cherish his memory and faith are his best friend and brother, Brian (Kathy) Brady, nieces and nephews; Tara (Stan) Wasilewicz, John “Jack” (Eileen) Mahon, Kevin (Nina) Mahon, Erin (George) Ladani, Michael (Courtney) Mahon, Meghan (Bunty) Ray, and Shannon (Shaun) Ziomek. Grand Nieces and Nephews Chris and KariAnn, Ryan, Kaylee, and Jack, Shawn and Aiden, Adam and Gabriel, Taylor, Julianna and Christian, Jackson and Sydney as well as his newest great nephew Brady Sullivan. He also leaves many cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his beloved sister, C. Denise Mahon.

The family would like to thank all the staff at Complete Care at Glendale in Naugatuck for the excellent care and love they shared with John and helped make Glendale his home for 4 years.
