AT THE O'NEILL FUNERAL HOME: Mr. John J. Brennan, age 89 of Middlebury Rd Watertown, died Saturday at Waterbury Hospital after an extended illness. He was the widower of Margaret Mary Brennan.
Mr. Brennan was born in Waterbury on September 21, 1918, the son of John and Bridget Brennan. He was educated in local schools and was veteran of the US Army having proudly served his country during World War II. He was employed as a Machinist for many years and then as a security guard in the area.
Mr. Brennan leaves no known survivors. He will be fondly remembered by his neighbor and caretaker, Deborah Smolley and her family.
Funeral services for Mr. Brennan will be held on Tuesday July 8, 2008 at 8:30am from the O'Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main St. Oakville to St. John the Evangelist Church Main St. Watertown for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00am. Burial with full military honors will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 8:00 ?" 8:30am.
