AT THE CASEY-O'DONNELL FAMILY FUNERAL HOME Waterbury - John Andrew Connell, age 51 of East Main St Waterbury, died Wednesday at Waterbury Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of Barbara (Caron) Connell.
Mr. Connell was born February 24, 1958 in Waterbury, the son of the late Edward F. Jr.and Claire (O'Neill) Connell. He was a graduate of Crosby High School and was employed as an eyelet toolmaker at WTM Co. in Thomaston for many years. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid sports enthusiast.
Besides his loving wife Barbara, John leaves his brothers, Edward F. "Ned" Connell III of Waterbury and Mark Connell of Lowell MA and his sisters; Claire Forino, Deidre Minnicucci and Margaret Cooper all of Waterbury and Mary Beth Brown of Wolcott. He was predeceased by his sister, Kathleen Mancini. He also leaves several, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services for Mr. Connell will be held on Friday, January 15, 2010 at 7:00pm at the Casey-O'Donnell Family Funeral Home 1581 East Main St Waterbury. Family and friends may visit the funeral home on Friday from 5 ?" 7pm. A graveside interment will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at Calvary Cemetery at 9:00am.
