WATERBURY - John Vincent Gowlis Jr. age 47 a Waterbury native, passed away unexpectedly on October 13th 2018.
John was born in Waterbury, CT on December 22, 1970, the son of Margaret (Northrop) Gowlis and the late James Cob Borrelli. He attended Barnard School and Duggan School in the Brooklyn section of Waterbury where he was a lifelong resident. John was loved by all and was an exceptional & loving father, son, and brother who will be greatly missed all who knew and loved him.
Besides his mother, Peggy of Waterbury, John is survived by his former wife, Angie (Avino) Gowlis of Southington, his three children; John Gonzalo Gowlis, Niona Gowlis, and Elena Gowlis all of Waterbury. In addition, he leaves his five brothers; Sean Gowlis, Jacob Borelli, Michael Borrelli, James Jones, and James William Borrelli III as well as his sisters, Sheri and Sandra Borrelli and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
Calling hours for Mr. Gowlis will be held on Friday October 19th 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd. Waterbury followed by A Service of Remembrance at 7:00pm. Burial will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
