THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE CARING FOR AND ASSISTING THE FAMILY OF JOHN A. MIKULAK jJR.

ANSONIA - John A. Mikulak Jr., age 55 of Ansonia, passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2018. He was the husband of Dayna Watterworth.

John was born December 1, 1962 in New York the son of John A. Mikulak Sr and the late Barbara (Kraft) Mikulak. John graduated from Wilton High School and Eastern Connecticut State University. He worked for many years as a self-employed General Contractor.

An avid fisherman and outdoorsman, devoted father and grandpa, a giving, compassionate friend and advocate, especially for veterans causes, known to his family and friends as "Guppie" since he was a boy, John lived each day to the fullest. He loved family gatherings and was the ultimate master griller. He loved his country, riding his motorcycle, being in the woods with his dogs, telling stories and teaching his children, nieces and nephews life-lessons through nature.

He will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to know and to love him, especially his wife, father, and children, and his many friends and fellow business associates.

Besides his wife of 13 years and his Dad, John leaves his sons; Daniel Mikulak and his wife Danielle of Marlboro CT and Jacob Mikulak of Manchester, his sister Robyn Mikulak of Wilton and his granddaughter, Olivia. He also leaves his mother in law, Iona Watterworth and the late "poppie" Frank Valentino of Waterbury, Melissa and Steve Batt of Storrs, Monica Watterworth of Litchfield, Krista and Eric Alterman of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and nieces and nephews: Sophia, Jamison, Griffon and Skylar.

Funeral services for Mr. Mikulak will be held on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home, 1987 East Main Street, Southmayd Rd Waterbury CT 06705. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
