AT THE CASEY-O'DONNELL FAMILY FUNERAL HOME - WATERBURY John R. Daddona, age 84 of Geddes Ter. Waterbury died Sunday May 15, 2011 at the Vitas Unit of St. Mary's Hospital after a brief illness. She was the husband of the late Shirley (Koslowski)
John was born February 1, 1927 in Waterbury, CT, the son of the late Anthony and Florence (Dance) Daddona. A lifelong resident of Waterbury, John was a graduate of Webster School and Leavenworth High School. John was a US Veteran who proudly served his country in the US Navy during World War II. John was an longtime employee of Keeler and Long in Watertown where he was a Supervisor. He was a member of the Waterbury Lodge B.P.O. Elks # 265, a member of both the local VFW and American Legion and a member of the Alelphi Social Club of Waterbury. John was a former member of the Waterbury Italian American Civic Club .
John is survived by his son, Robert J. Daddona of Philadelphia PA, his grandson Robert J. Daddona Jr. of Naugatuck, his two sisters, Angela Shaw of Waterbury and Rita Giannini of Oakville as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Francis Daddona this past March.
Funeral services for Mr. Daddona will held Tuesday, May 17,2011 at 10:00am from the Casey-O'Donnell Family Funeral Home 1581 East Main St Waterbury to Saints Peter & Paul Church, 67 Southmayd Rd Waterbury for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 8:30 until the procession leaves for services. At 10:00am.
