BRISTOL - John Victor Ramponi, age 67, of Bristol, formerly of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 14th 2019 at Bristol Hospital.
John was born August 27th 1952 in Waterbury, CT, the son of the late John Benito and Ann (Feschuk) Ramponi. He was a graduate of Kennedy High School and Waterbury Tech. He spent his career as a tool setter. He was working for various manufacturing companies as a foreman throughout the Waterbury area including, Scovill Manufacturing, Cesco Brass in Thomaston and most recently at Salsco Inc. in Cheshire, which quickly became John's favorite place of employment. John enjoyed fishing, following the New York Jets and the Yankees, traveling and cruising, and spending time at his home workshop where he created countless woodworking crafts. John also enjoyed spending time at the casino and was a huge horse racing fan. John will be missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.
Left to cherish his memories and honor his legacy are his children, Timothy Ramponi of Waterbury and Jonna Ricciardi and her husband, Joseph of Cheshire. He also leaves his brother, Richard Ramponi and his husband, Robert Bigelow of Washington, D.C. and his sister, Cynthia Atchison and her husband, Richard of Middlebury. In addition, he leaves his grandchildren; Richard and Angela Chiaravalloti, his step granddaughter, Samantha Ricciardi; his nephew, John Atchison and his wife, Jennifer; as well as, several cousins.
Funeral services for Mr. Ramponi will be held on Monday, October 21, 2019 at 12 noon at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St Waterbury, CT 06705. Relatives and friends may visit with John's family on Monday morning from 10:00am until the service commences at noon at the funeral home.
