WATERBURY - Johnson Clayton Jones III, age 61 of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly at Waterbury Hospital on July 20th 2016 after a brief illness.
Johnson was born August 15, 1954 in Waterbury CT the son of the late Johnson C. Jones II and Nancy (Genova) Jones. He grew up in the Waterbury area and earned his bachelor's degree in teaching from Southern Connecticut State University and spent several years working for the Waterbury School system and was an educator for several Waterbury Schools. He was an avid stock car and racing fan and a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
Among his survivors are his brothers, Timothy, Gary and Robert Jones all of Waterbury as well as several cousins with whom he was especially close. He was also fortunate to have many dear friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Jones will be held on Tuesday July26, 2016 at 9:30 am when a
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church 785
Highland Ave. Waterbury. Those planning to attend are kindly asked to meet directly at
the church. There are no calling hours and burial will be held privately at the
