THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE CARING FOR AND ASSISTING THE FAMILY OF JONATHAN SANTIAGO
LIVED LIFE TO THE FULLEST
WATERBURY - Jonathan Santiago age 37 of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly after sustaining injuries from a motorcycle accident on August 28th 2021. He was the husband of Barbara (Eichman) Santiago.
Jonathan was born was born March 23rd 1984 in Ponce, Puerto Rico, the son of Santa Oquendo and the late Luis Santiago. He moved to CT in 1989 and attended Kennedy High School. Jonathan was currently working as a sales clerk at the Brass City Pawn Shop and will be remembered for his infectious smile. Jonathan enjoyed riding his Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle and fishing, however there was nothing more important to Jonathan than his family. He always lived life to the fullest and enjoyed backyard picnics with his family and friends. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his two grandchildren who meant the world to him. Taken from all of us way too soon, he will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love him
Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory, besides his mother, Santa and wife of 7 years, Barbara are his children; Michael Leopizzo, Destiney Martinez and Evealise Santiago all of Waterbury. He also leaves his brothers, Luis G. Santiago and his wife, Lindsay; and Luis A Santiago, his sisters; Mayra Santiago and her husband, Shane Perez, Christy Santiago and her husband, Jose Velez, and Rose N. Santiago and her husband, Felix J. Cruz all of Waterbury. He also leaves behind his two adoring grandchildren Lilyanna, and Jordan and his god daughter Roseminely Cruz and many nieces nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Hector M. Santiago
Funeral services for Mr. Santiago will be held on Friday, September 3rd 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd Waterbury CT. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the Santiago Family on Friday afternoon from 1:00 until the service at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation to assist them during this difficult time through their go fund me page at
