WATERBURY – It is with great sadness that the family of Jordan Isaiah Robinson, age 22, of Waterbury, CT, announce his tragic and untimely passing on Sunday, December 17th, 2023.

Jordan was born January 30 th , 2001, in New Rochelle, NY, the son of Jermaine Robinson Sr of Columbia, SC, and Stacey (Thompson) Robinson of Waterbury CT. Jordan was a graduate of Cheshire Academy and attended the University of New Haven, where he studied business administration. Jordan spent the past couple of years working as a group home assistant at All Point Care LLC and had aspired to work at the Connecticut Correctional Department, where he recently passed the first part of the interview process and as looking forward to a long career when this tragic incident occurred. Jordan loved sports and was a stand-out football player playing football for Sacred Heart High School, Holy Cross High School, Cheshire Academy, and the University of New Haven and he was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. He also enjoyed playing basketball and loved to spend time with his family and friends. He was a member of Christ CME Church of Waterbury CT. He also volunteered at Citywide Front Porch Cleanup, Earth Day Cleanup, Habitat for umanity, Relay for Life and GWIM Soup Kitchen.
Beside his parents, Jordan is survived by his grandparents, Eva Curry and her husband Harroll Curry, and Lula Mae Robinson as well as his siblings; Jermaine Robinson Jr and his partner Alexis Dudley, Jae-Quan Robinson, and Jada Robinson, all of Waterbury, and Alexus Owens of Atlanta GA. In addition, Jordan leaves his aunts; Melissa Thompson and her husband Robbie Hicks, Leidre Johnson, Tiffany Thompson, Christina Thompson and bonus aunt Andrea Martin. His nieces and nephews; Jermaine Robinson III, Ava Robinson, Aria Robinson, Aubrey Robinson, and Aylani Robinson, as well as other extended family members, his best friend Mechai Hayes and many other friends. He was predeceased by his grandfathers; Albert Thompson, and Jackie Robinson.
Funeral services for Mr. Robinson will be held on Wednesday, December 27th, 2023, at 12:00 noon at Mount Olive A.M.E. Zion Church 82-100 Pearl St Waterbury, CT 06704. Relatives and friends may visit with the Robinson family on Wednesday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the service at 12:00 noon. Burial will be held privately and at the convenience of his family. Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main St Waterbury has been honored to care for Jordan and the Robinson family during this most difficult time.
