Mr. Jose Edgardo "Eggie" Concepcion Espada, age 55 of Waterbury, CT., passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, on the early morning hours of Monday, July 15th, 2019, due to heart failure at Waterbury Hospital. Eggie was born on February 20th, 1964 in Aibonito, a small mountain municipality in Puerto Rico, located in the mountain range of Cayey. He is the beloved Son to Luz Celenia Concepcion (née, Espada Quiles) and the late, Cristobal Concepcion Santiago (Oquendo).
Eggie graduated from Bulkeley High School in Hartford, CT., where he played trumpet and football, in which he was the starting wide receiver. He loved all sports in general and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He was kind and loyal. Loved to entertain and amused anyone he came in contact with. Putting a smile on people's faces and making them laugh was always his goal in life. He also loved listening to music of all genres; one of his favorite was "Always and Forever by Heatwave."
For Eggie, his family meant the world to him, instilling love above all to all of his children. In addition to his wife of 30 years, Nancy Alvardo Concepcion, he leaves his precious children; Becky, CJ (Siphe) and Zadie; as well as his granddaughter, Zedel, whom he adored. He was predeceased by his brother, Cristobal "Juji" Concepcion Jr., and is survived by this three brothers; Tito, Charlie and Robert. This also includes his vast family; Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, and tons of Cousins.
Eggie lives in our memories and will stay alive in the stories we share down the generations. Although we take part in the pain of our loss; we celebrate the life and the gift that was Eggie. He may had not realized how many lives he touched so positively throughout his life or the amazing legacy he leaves behind. Eggie will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known him.
