WATERBURY - Jose Pizarro, age 58, of Orange St Waterbury, entered into eternal rest on Saturday August 3rd 2013 at his home after a brief battle with cancer. He was the husband of Eva (Benique) Pizarro.
Jose was born November 30th 1954, the son of the late Amparo Ortiz in Bayamon, Puerto Rico and has lived the in the Waterbury area for the past 40 years. Jose was a "jack of all trades" and had the ability to fix just about anything that needed repairing, especially automobiles. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and was an avid fisherman and former Boy Scout. Jose was a great provider and cook and enjoyed preparing meals for his family and always seemed happiest while spending time surrounded by his children, and grandchildren.
Besides his wife Eva of 40 years, Jose is survived by his five children, Sammy Pizarro and his wife Abigail, Omayra Pizarro-Crespo and her husband Eddy, Diana Rivera-Pizarro, Valerie Pizarro-Velez and her husband Cesar and Stephanie Pizarro all of Waterbury as well as his 4 grandchildren, Marcus, Cesar Jr., Josiah, & Eddy Jr.
Funeral services for Mr. Pizarro will be held on Tuesday August 6th at 12:00 noon at Eastside Memorial, "A CASEY FAMILY FUNERAL HOME AND TRIBUTE CENTER", 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd Waterbury. Rites of Committal will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Waterbury. Friends and relatives may visit with Jose's family at the funeral home on Monday evening, August 5th from 5:00-8:00 pm.
