WATERBURY - Mr Jose “Papa” Alberto Vidal passed away peacefully on Thursday May 4, 2023, in the comfort of his home surrounded by family and friends. He was the husband of Carmen Vidal Alejandro.
Jose was born March 30, 1953, to Margarita Vidal Riveria and William Vidal Sr in Villalba Puerto Rico.He received his early childhood education in Villalba Puerto Rico and moved to Connecticut where he received his high school diploma at Crosby High School. He worked at Pratt and Whitney until he retired. Jose was a devoted family man and everyone who met him loved him. He enjoyed spending time with his family making everyone laugh, smile and feel good. He loved to sing, play his guitar and dance. He loved to play his games on his computer and he loved to go to Lakewood Park. He made it his business to have his grass look the best on the street (if you know, you know). He started fellowshipping and bible studying with The House of Prayer and enjoyed it very much.
He was preceded in death by his mother Margarita Vidal Riveria, father William Vidal Sr, sister Milagros Bailey and Sister Carmen-Aida Collazo. He leaves to cherish his beautiful memories; his loving wife Carmen Vidal Alejandro, 4 brothers William Vidal Jr. of CT, Quique Vidal of PR, Eduardo Vidal of CA, Carlos Vidal of AZ and 1 sister Arelliz Ortega of AZ, 2 daughters Lisa Jackson of GA, Yesenia Guichardo and 1 son Luis Rosario both of CT. His grandchildren, Michael Williams and Monica Wolford both of GA, Luis J Rosario of CA, Joshua Acosta, Joel Acosta, Alex Rosario and Emily Acosta all of Waterbury CT. A host of great grandchildren, sister in laws, brother in laws, nieces, nephews and close friends.
Funeral Services for Mr. Vidal will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at 7:00 pm at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home. Relatives and friends may visit with Jose's family on Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of his family
