Joseph L. Berube ?" age 69 of Waterbury died unexpectedly at Saint Mary's hospital Sunday September 14th. He was the husband of Shirley J. (Handle) Berube.
Mr. Berube was born June 30th 1939 in St John, Maine the son of the late Joseph and Marguerite (Heacox) Berube. He attended local schools and was a graduate of University of Connecticut where he earned his masters degree in teaching. He was a teacher for over 45 years in the Litchfield school system specializing in history and psychology.
Besides his wife Shirley of 43 years he is survived by his son Peter and his wife Cindy Berube of Waterbury, James Berube and his partner Lisa Klonoski of Torrington, A brother Roland Berube of Torrington, two sisters Lucienne Martin of Southington, and Pauline Pelletier, of Florida. As well as several nieces and nephews.
Services for Mr. Berube were held privately at Blessed Sacrament church on Wednesday September 17th, followed by a private burial in Calvary Cemetery.
