Waterbury - Joseph Daryl (Santa) Fretts age 60 of Waterbury unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at St. Mary's Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Joyce Graham.
Joseph was born March 9th 1956 in Torrington, CT, the son of the late Harry and Marie (Ginnish) Fretts. He grew up in Watertown, and worked for First Student.
Joseph was an exceptional storyteller, and loved bringing joy to all by playing Santa. Joseph's wit, generosity and inspiring presence will be deeply missed. Besides his wife, Joyce, of 34 years, Joseph is survived by his twin daughters, Amanda Fretts and her husband Marc Reyhner of Seattle, WA, and Jennie Fretts and her husband Adam Baker of Montclair, New Jersey, sisters Karen Snow of Watertown, Fay Paul and Wanda Murphy of Canada, and several nieces and nephews.
All services will be private and at the convenience of the family. The O'Neill Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
