WOLCOTT - Joseph J. Jasulavic, Jr, age 75 of Wolcott, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 in the comfort of his home, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family. He was the beloved husband of Barbara Lupia.
Joseph was born December 13, 1947 in Waterbury, the son of the late Joseph J. Sr and Helen (Rodski) Jasulavic. Joe was a 1966 graduate of Wolcott High School. He entered the U.S. Navy in July of 1966 having proudly served his country aboard the USS LaSalle, stationed in Portsmouth VA. Joseph was honorably discharged on December 14, 1968. Joseph was an electrician by trade and a proud member of IBEW Local 488. Joe loved music, especially Jimmy Buffet and he held an annual Margaritaville event. As a proud U.S. veteran, Joe loved comfort and war movies, collecting military memorabilia and traveling. He loved spending time in his garden but most of all he was especially proud of his family and spending as much time as he could with all of them. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known and loved him.
Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory, besides his wife Barbara, are his two sons; Michael and his wife, Christine of East Northport, NY and Steven and his wife, Diane of Southington, his grandchildren; Jenna, Mia, Devon and Leah, his stepson Felix Lupia of Hartford, his brother Dennis Jasulavic and his wife, Joyce of Bristol, his cousins from Gardner, Mass John and Nellie Langlois, Mike and Terry Langlois and David Rodski, extended family members and close friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Jasulavic will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main St. Waterbury, CT . Full military honors will be accorded Mr. Jasulavic at the conclusion of the funeral service. Burial will be held at the convenience of his family. Relatives and friends may visit Joseph’s family on Saturday morning from 10:00 till 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
