Mr. Joseph E. Testa Sr.

WATERBURY – It is with profound sadness that the family of Joseph E. Testa Sr., age 76 of Waterbury, share the news of his peaceful passing on March 6, 2025 at the Vitas Inpatient Unit of St Mary’s Hospital surrounded by the love and comfort of his family. He was the beloved husband of Elaine C. Testa to whom he had been married to for 50 years.

Joseph was born on July 05, 1948, in Derby, CT the son of the late Frank and Marie (Iasevoli) Testa. He was a graduate of Seymour High School and then went on to work in the auto parts department at various car dealerships. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Joseph loved music especially oldies, rock and roll, had a vast knowledge of, and was interested in cars in general, but he really liked classic, American cars. Joseph was very devoted to his faith being a parishioner of Our Lady of Loreto Church for 26 years. What Joseph loved the most was spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed by all those who were blessed to love and know him.

Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory besides his devoted wife, Elaine is his son Joseph E. Testa Jr., along with his siblings; Susan Ide and Anthony Testa.

Funeral services for Mr. Testa will be held privately at the convenience of his family. Joseph will be laid to rest at St. Augustine Cemetery, Seymour, CT.
