OAKVILLE - Mr. Joseph M. Yezierski Sr., age 65, beloved husband of Rose (Grant) Yezierski, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 28, 2016 at the Vitas Innovative Care Unit at St. Mary's Hospital.
Mr. Yezierski was born on May 14, 1950 in Waterbury, the son of the late Henry and Mary (Szantyr) Yezierski. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam war. Joseph was also a member of the Oakville VFW.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Joseph M. Yezierski Jr. and his wife Jennifer-Sloss-Yezierski of Terryville, his sisters, Julie Yezierski and Margaret Lowe of Waterbury, grandchildren, Reba J. Yezierski and Riley J. Yezierski and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by sisters, Hennrietta Carpentier and Mary Jane Yezierski.
Family will receive friends on Saturday April 2, 2016 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at the O'Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main Street Oakville. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
