OAKVILLE - Ms. Josephine M. Romano age 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 25, 2016 at Rose Haven Nursing Home, Litchfield, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.
Ms. Romano was born on May 3, 1930 in Ossining NY, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Campobasso) Romano. She was educated in local schools, graduated from Waterbury Catholic High School and worked for many years as a Secretary at Renzoni Insurance of Waterbury. Josephine was a very active volunteer for many local organizations, charities and church.
Josephine is survived by her brother, Dominic Romano of Oakville, her niece and nephews who were like her own children, Susan Lavoie and her husband, Joseph of Goshen, Joseph Romano and his wife, Sharon of Watertown and Dominic Romano and his wife, Elaine of Middlebury as well as her grandnephews; Joseph, Michael, Dominic and Marc. She was predeceased by her grandniece, Kate Frigo.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Josephine will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Litchfield. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. The O'Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main Street Oakville has been entrusted to assist the family with arrangements.
