WATERBURY- Mrs. Joyce A. (Sitters) Herrmann, 87, wife of the late Thomas "Tim" Herrmann, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at The VITAS Innovative Care Unit of St. Mary's Hospital.
Born in New Haven on July 9, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Gerard and Irene Jean (Turcotte) Sitters. She was a wonderful wife and mother. She also enjoyed working at several retail stores including Worths, Casual Corner, Menagerie, and Noah's. She was an avid reader and enjoyed doing puzzles. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Left to cherish her memory and honor her legacy are, her four daughters; Karen DeFelice of North Haven, CT, Dona Herrmann of Martha's Vineyard, MA, Susan Adams of East Hartland, CT, Sandra DiGiovancarlo and her husband, Vincent of Waterbury, Tim and Joyce were blessed with four grandchildren; Jennifer Judkins, Gina and Krista DiGiovancarlo, Thomas "TJ" Adams, and a great grandson, Tyler Judkins. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Geraldine Stango, a brother Gerard Sitter Jr. and a step brother Preston Kobbe.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hermann will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2021 at Casey's Eastside Memorial 1987 East Main St. Waterbury at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Friends and relatives may visit with the Herrmann family on Friday, June 5, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
