AT THE O'NEILL FUNERAL HOME - Joyce (Pickering) White, age 84, of Robin Ridge Apts. 990 West Main Street, Waterbury, died Tuesday, April 20, 2010.
Joyce was born June 20, 1925 in Macclesfield, England, a daughter of the late William and Leah (Lyons) Pickering. She was educated in England and came to Waterbury in 1946. Prior to her retirement, Joyce was employed as an Elderly Nutrition Manager at N.O.W. Inc. in Waterbury and also at the Robin Ridge Apartments. She also worked with Meals on Wheels and did volunteer work with handicapped children. Joyce loved to knit, loved animals, especially cats and enjoyed the beach. Joyce had many friends and was loved by all.
She leaves three children; David White and his wife Judy of Watertown, Janice White of Oakville, Rebecca White of Naugatuck and two grandchildren; Alicia and Marissa White.
Funeral services for Mrs. White will be held on Friday, April 23. 2010 at the Woodward Mattoon Chapel in Evergreen Cemetery North St. Watertown. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
