Mr. Juan Morales Sr.

Bridgeport - Juan A.” Tony” Morales, 79, of Bridgeport, succumbed to his battle with cancer on Thursday July 11th at Saint Mary’s Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Maria (Alonso) Morales.

 Tony was born on January 21, 1945 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico to his late parents Rogelio Morales and Providencia (Cruz) Morales, he migrated to Bridgeport, CT in 1956. He worked for the Housing Authority as a maintenance worker. Tony had a passion for gardening and spent countless hours tending to his vegetables. Tony loved to show off the impressive size of his cucumbers and tomatoes to his family. He would proudly display the giant vegetables he grew in his garden, boasting about his gardening skills. He also enjoyed working on cars, using his mechanical skills to fix up old vehicles and keep them running smoothly. Fishing was another favorite pastime of Tony's, and he could often be found casting his line in his favorite fishing spot at Seaside Park. Tony also loved watching old western movies.

Tony leaves behind to honor his memory his sons Juan Antonio “Pito” Morales Jr & Jose Antonio “Tito” Morales. Siblings Carmen Labrador, Rogelio Morales, Heriberto “Eddie” Morales & Maria Antonia Morales. His precious 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews. Aside from his wife he was predeceased by his loving daughter Angela Maria Morales and his brothers Julio & Jose Morales.
