WATERBURY - Juanita (Cartwright) Perry passed away on February 11, 2018 at St. Mary's Hospital after a short illness surrounded by her family. She was the widow of the late James Perry.
Juanita Perry was born July 5, 1934 in Hertford, North Carolina to the late Charlie and Marion (Jones) Cartwright. She attended and graduated from P.W. Moore High School. She moved to Waterbury, CT where she met James Perry and they were married. She would later work at Airpax for twenty-two years from which she retired from.
Juanita loved Jehovah God and served him faithfully to the end. She talked about Jehovah to her neighbors, workmates and those she met out in the ministry. She also loved shopping, cooking and taking care of her family. She will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her three children: Desralle Hinton, Kimberly Johnson of Waterbury and Terrance Perry of Apopka, Florida, one son-in-law Kenneth Johnson and one daughter-in-law Wendy Perry. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Lorne Perry, Chantal Johnson and Jared Johnson and one granddaughter-in-law Danielle Perry all of Waterbury CT; four great grandchildren, Lorne Jr., Jordan, Evan and Brea; her two sisters Olga Etheridge of Newark , N.J. and Ashley Webster of Brooklyn, N.Y. and two brothers Roland Cartwright and Pat Cartwright Brooklyn N.Y. Juanita is survived by three sisters-in-law, Doris Poole, Maxine Moody and Portia Riddick; two brothers-in-law Robert Moody and Lewis Hitch and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her husband James, Juanita is also predeceased by three sisters Marie Tutson, Irene Wingate and Jean Hitch; three brothers Charles Cartwright, Howard Cartwright, and Kenneth Cartwright; four brothers-in-law Leroy Tutson, Johnnie Etheridge, Samuel Poole and John Riddick, one sister-in-law Mattie Cartwright. Juanita was also predeceased by one daughter Linda Bowden.
