WATERBURY - Judith Ann Fekete, 57, of Waterbury passed away on September 17, 2016, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. She was the wife of David B. Fekete
Judy was born to the late Robert and Shirley Schnake on January 3, 1959. She enjoyed cooking, entertaining and had a talent for baking, creating numerous wedding and birthday cakes for loved ones and friends over the years. More than anything else, it was her husband, Dave, whom she married in Florida in 1980, her family and the time she shared with them that brought her true happiness. When her daughters married, she always considered their husbands to be her sons. She couldn't wait to become a grandma and loved being surrounded by all three of her grandbabies. She was "Mom" to many as she took the time to listen and offer sound advice. She will be remembered for her bubbly personality, infectious smile and her unconditional love towards family and friends.
Besides her husband Dave of 36 years Judy is survived by; her daughters April Stevens, and her husband Josh and their daughter Willow; Dawn Gibson, her husband Justin and their two children- Liam and Meadow.
The Fekete family would like to acknowledge and thank the doctors, nurses and all the staff at The Leever Cancer Center/Smilow Cancer Hospital for the love, care, and support they provided to Judy and her family during her illness.
A memorial service for Mrs. Fekete will be held on Thursday, September 22nd from 5 -8 P.M at Casey's East Side Memorial, 1987 E. Main Street in Waterbury. Burial will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Judy's name to The Harold Leever Regional Cancer Center or the National Foundation for Cancer Research.
