REMEMBERING AND HONORING THE LIFE OF JUDITH JALBERT

Career dedicated to serving others

WATERBURY - Judith (Bartley) Jalbert, 82, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, April 06, 2022.

Judith was born on November 09, 1939, in Dennistown, ME, the daughter of the late George and Marie Louise (Rodrigue) Bartley. She grew up on a farm in Jackman, Maine driving tractors, and riding horses. She moved to Waterbury in 1958 where she has resided ever since. A petite woman of 5'2", she was a strong, conservative, forward thinker who raised her 4 children on her own and taught them never to be judgmental of anyone. Judith worked in the transportation industry. She started by driving school buses. After a few years, she went to work for CR&L and was one of the first few women to operate these large buses that had standard shift and no power steering. She completed her driving career and retired from Northeast Transportation in 2001.

Judith loved to travel the world with her two friends, Lisa Stemm and the late Marge Grey. She also enjoyed gardening and was well known for her beautifully manicured yard.

Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memory are her children; Marcel (Linda) Jalbert, Robert (Nancy) Jalbert, Kenneth Jalbert, and Theresa (James) Soden, grandchildren; Britt Soden, Jake Soden, Jesse Jo Stasinos, Megan Jalbert, Sara Downey, Luke Jalbert, Lea Jalbert, and Ian Jalbert, great grandchildren; Jordan Stasinos, Rayna Soden, Harrison Soden, Xander Soden, and Archer Soden. Two Sisters; Theresa Rioux and Rena Maheu. Judith was predeceased by her siblings; George Bartley, Paul Bartley, Alfred Bartley, Emmanuel Bartley, Louis Bartley, Francis Bartley, Mamie Bishop, Jeannine Hebert, and Lorianna Pomerlecus.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Jalbert will be held privately, at the convenience of her family.
