WATERBURY - Mrs. Julia E. (Likley) Bianchi age 91 of Waterbury, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side after an extended illness. She was the widow of the late Leo F. Bianchi, Sr.
Julia was born on May 27, 1928 in Waterbury the daughter of the late William and Hazel (Richard) Likley. She was educated in local schools and in her early years worked at East End Convalescent Home and Hayden Switch in Waterbury. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who always put her family ahead of everything else and was always happiest when surrounded by them. Some of her most treasured memories were her last two birthdays when the family, some 30 strong, took her to the casino for a special celebration. She enjoyed cooking and baking and she will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
She is survived by her son, Leo F. Bianchi Jr. and his wife, Carol of Waterbury who was forever watching over and caring for his Mom, her daughter, Evelyn Bianchi-Boeing of California, her 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sons, William, Robert and John and daughter, Leona.
Funeral services for Mrs. Bianchi will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. from Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd. Waterbury to Mary the Mother of the Church Parish, SS Peter and Paul Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Mt Olivet Cemetery, Watertown.
