Mrs Katherine M. Alberto

A Beautiful Person that was always selfless, kind, strong and loving.

WINSTED - Katherine M. (Hallaway) Alberto, age 67 of Winsted, formerly of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington. She was the widow of Joseph Alberto.

Katherine was born on July 26, 1955 in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Stephen and Lorraine (Leahy) Hallaway. She was educated in the local Prospect schools and graduated from Wilby High School. Katherine spent the better part of her life as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and homemaker. She enjoyed crafts of all kinds: antiques and she was a very spiritual woman. She loved her cats, looked forward to every Halloween, and was very proud of her Irish roots. It was Mom’s time to leave us to be with God, to fly free with the Angels feeling complete and at home so that she may watch over all those she deeply loved and cared for. Her life was a blessing, her memory we will treasure. She was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.

Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memories are her children; sons, Joseph Alberto of Winsted, Robert Alberto of Winsted, and Paul Alberto of Wolcott, her daughters; Jaime Veary and her husband Craig of Waterbury, and Joanne Hammac and her husband Bill of Waterbury. She also leaves her siblings; Patricia Atwood and her husband Edward of Watertown, John Hallaway and his wife Dori of Prospect, Thomas Hallaway and his wife Mary of Wolcott. Katherine was blessed with four grandchildren; Desirae, Samantha, Emma, and Ella. She was predeceased by her brother Thomas Hallaway.

Funeral services for Mrs. Alberto will be held privately at the convenience of her family. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at The Manor Inn Restaurant in Southington at 12pm.
