Waterbury, CT. Mrs. Katherine Booth-Mahon, age 71, of Waterbury, formerly of Thomaston, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at the Village Green of Waterbury with her husband and family by her side. Mrs. Booth was the wife of Francis "Butch" Mahon.
Katherine was born November 22nd 1940 in Pittsburgh PA. the daughter of the late Francis and Alice (Hooper) Crist. She worked as an office manager at New Penn Motors Express for many years before her retirement. She was an avid sports fan and was devoted to the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New York Yankees. She was also a trivia buff and enjoyed watching Jeopardy with her husband.
Besides her husband of 9 years, she is survived by her children; Devin Booth of Wethersfield, Christopher Booth of East Hampton, and Allison Martin of Wolcott as well as her two grandchildren, Kelsey and Matthew.
Funeral services for Mrs. Booth-Mahon will be held on Monday, February 13, 2012 at 10:30 from the Casey-O'Donnell Family Funeral Home, 1581 E. Main St Waterbury to Saint Francis Xavier Church 625 Baldwin St Waterbury, CT for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. Burial with follow in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at funeral home on Monday morning from 9:30 am till 10:30am.
